Christian Singles San Antonio
Welcome to the premier site for Christian singles in San Antonio. You probably already know that you live in one of the coolest places in Texas. But just in case you’ve forgotten how wonderful your home is, we’d like to take a moment to remind you. Because, honestly, there’s nothing better than being proud of home. And if there’s a group of people that aces being proud of home, it’s the Texans.
San Antonio is growing quickly and is home to over a million people. Before the city had its modern name it was inhabited by the Payaya Indians. Some Spanish missionaries and explorers discovered the area on June 13 in the late 1600s. They named the settlement after Saint Anthony of Padua (since June 13 is his feast day). The mission that was built there by the Spanish settlers became the Alamo. San Antonio became the largest Spanish settlement in Texas, staying that way through Spanish and then Mexican power.
Part of the reason San Antonio flourished was and is the cattle industry, which helped all of Texas pull out of the economic turmoil that followed the Civil War. One of the greatest parts about Texan history is how proud San Antonians are of their shared history. No matter how many times you’ve been to the Alamo, you’re probably willing to take your tourist friends and relatives to see it, because it’s the Alamo, and that’s what you do.
Food is something else that is a major deal in Texas. Sometimes you even tell what day it is according to the specials at your favorite Mexican restaurants. It’s not wrong to think of tacos as a viable breakfast option, and Tex-Mex and barbecue are delicious no matter what time of day it is. The southwest really knows how to create food that you almost can’t stop eating.
One of the quaintest parts of a city is the River Walk, which is quiet and calm on Sunday mornings but bustling with people all other times of the week. One second you’re in a city, and the next you’re walking in a completely different world. Sometimes the people watching is so good that you don’t even need to go down to the River Walk to get food or listen to music. There is always something fun going down along the river, and after a delicious meal of classic Tex-Mex, you can visit 300-year-old buildings from San Antonio’s time as a Spanish settlement.
Dating someone from the same city as you has fantastic benefits. For example, you won’t ever have to explain the undying love you have for the Spurs or cascarones. There’s always a chance that you’ll find someone else who has just as many pictures of highway-side bluebonnets as you do, or perhaps they will share your love of Whataburger. There’s no time like the present to find someone who understands you and how much you love your city. So, if you're a Christian, single, and living in San Antonio, you've come to the right place to find others like you.
