Christian Singles Knoxville & TN Dating
Welcome to the premier Christian dating site for Christian singles in Knoxville. Today is the day that you remember just why you live in Tennessee–it’s the best place to be. You’re in the south, everyone is friendly, and, let’s be honest, no one really wants to live anywhere else. Knoxville is Tennessee’s third largest city and was actually the state’s first capital. If you live in Knoxville, you know that the people are so friendly they could practically talk your ears off. Some might even say that living here is more like living in a giant town, rather than a city. If you can’t think of anything bad about your city, welcome to the club!
Tennessee was once the center of a lot of conflict. It’s called The Volunteer State because of all the men who volunteered to go to war for the nation. Andrew Jackson, one of America’s most important military men, was from Tennessee. During the Civil War, Tennessee was the last to secede and the first to be allowed back into the Union. Because of its central location, the state was essentially turned into a bridge between North and South; it had major rivers and roads leading into the Deep South, and the Union tried to keep and maintain those major routes.
Perhaps it’s because the public memory still recalls those wars, but southern hospitality is especially strong in Knoxville. The people are so warm-hearted and ready to talk that when you go out to get groceries, you have to plan for extra time in case a complete stranger stops you for a chat. It’s perfectly normal to wave to people you’ve never seen before in your life. It’s wonderful to know that if you were ever in any trouble, help wouldn’t be too far away. Besides, happy people mean less stress, which leads to life being better in general.
Knoxville is in the Great Appalachian Valley, which means it stays a bit cooler than the surrounding cities. It’s surrounded by lakes and rivers, which help give the area bright, verdant shades of green. Tennessee’s creativity shows in downtown Knoxville, where there are buildings in nearly every style of architecture you can imagine. There’s Gothic and Neoclassical, plus Art Deco and even Victorian. In 1982 it hosted the World’s Fair, and over 11 million people visited to check out the spectacles.
The lush landscape around Knoxville shows off some of the best valleys in the South. Coupled with humidity and mild temperatures throughout the year, this part of Tennessee is the best. The mountains never fail to amaze, and it’s nearly impossible to be bored when there is so much to do and see outside.
Tennessee itself is a very creative state, so if you can’t think of a thing to do for date night, think outside of the box! Go listen to a brand-new musician play through a set in a cafe, wander around the art museum, or see if you can find the best barbecue in the city. It’s never too late to meet new people and expand your horizons. So, if you're a Christian, single, and living in Knoxville, you've come to the right place to find others like you.
