Christian singles Houston

Welcome to the premier site for Christian singles in Houston. The largest city in Texas was named after General Sam Houston, the president of the Republic of Texas.  It’s the center of great scientific advances, such as the Texas Medial Center and the Johnson Space Center, home to NASA’s Mission Control.  Unless you go to New York, you can’t find a city with more Fortune 500 companies.  Go ahead–wander around and look for a few new places to eat out and have some fun.  In a city this large, even if you have lived here for years, it’s likely that you could have missed a few great things.

If you live in Houston, it’s hard to believe that you don’t have all the greatest parts of Texas right in your backyard.  You can go inland or down to the coast in a heartbeat. Warm summer nights are filled with fun and friends, and the landscape around you just makes it easier to have a good time. Most of Houston is relatively flat and warm weather comes in from the desert to the west, while humidity makes an appearance thanks to the Gulf of Mexico.  Thanks to such high humidity, Houston is possibly the most air-conditioned city on the planet.

People who live in Texas have good reason to be proud of where they come from.  When the area first came under the scrutiny of Europeans, Spain jumped on the opportunity to have control.  Soon Texas was in Mexican hands, and then it was its own Republic.  Soon after that, however, Texas joined the United States.  Today Texas is a melting pot of several different cultures and when you drive through the Gulf Coast area you can see historic sites such as the San Jacinto Battleground and Spindletop, where oil was discovered in 1901.

Texas is the second largest state after Alaska, and the Gulf Coast provides more than 500 miles of bikini-ready coastlines. The Gulf of Mexico is known for having very warm waters, so taking a dip at the beach doesn’t have to feel like you’re forcing your body into a bath of ice.  Houston is also a doorway to Galveston, where Mardi Gras makes a splashy appearance.

The best seafood can be found here on the coast, and there is a slough of fantastic barbecue joints where restaurant owners show you just how meat is supposed to taste. You experience Texan hospitality, which is like southern hospitality with a southwestern twist.  Houston is known for mouth-watering cuisine of all kinds, from Tex-Mex to seafood, so it’s hard to spend a night out without tasting something incredibly delicious.

Living in Texas is like living in a small town where everyone has a sort of family pride in being from the same place and having a shared history.  It’s important to know the history of your home, because it has a lot to do with the kind of person you became.  When you next go out on a date, try something new, or something old that you haven’t gotten to see in a long time.  Sometimes those fresh experiences are the best after meeting a new person.  So, if you're a Christian, single, and living in Houston, you've come to the right place to find others like you.
