Christian Singles Burlington & VT Dating
Welcome to the premier site for Burlington Christian dating for Christian singles in Burlington. Vermont is a fantastic place to live, but you probably know that since you already live here. What could be better than living in the very first state to be admitted into the Union? The entire world should thank you for giving them Ben & Jerry’s and maple syrup. Vermont is small and is the only New England state that doesn’t have a coastline. Instead, it shares a border with Canada and has the Dog Chapel.
Your state was once home to the Abenaki and Iroquois Native Americans, and for a while it was owned by the French. After the French and Indian War, Vermont was ceded to the British. The state itself has historically shown a desire to be even-handed and fair to everyone. It created one of the first written constitutions in America and became the first state to abolish slavery and allow all men to vote, no matter the color of their skin. Many of the inhabitants were staunchly against slavery and when Abraham Lincoln ran for office, so many Vermont residents voted for him that no other state had a larger margin of victory.
If there is one thing that Vermont is known for in the rest of the United States, it’s the double whammy of a beautiful landscape and skiing over winter vacations. The landscape of Vermont is impressive to say the least. Lake Champlain is one of the largest bodies of fresh water in the nation and makes it possible to play on and near the water during just about any season. More than three-quarters of the state is covered with forests, and the rest is a jigsaw puzzle of everything from marshes to meadows. In the fall, the entirety of the mountains change from green to orange to red, bursting into the colors of autumn as the weather turns cold.
The outdoors are so beautiful in Vermont and around Burlington that it’s hard to stay inside, except for those days when it’s just too cold. Sometimes it’s so cold that even the snow wants to stay at home. But when it is warm enough to venture into the great outdoors, you get to appreciate hiking and biking trails as well as waterfalls that appear like magic out of nearby hillsides.
In Burlington, it’s hard to miss the Church Street Marketplace, the pedestrian mall downtown. Creating the space was a great way to get people out of their homes and into the city. There are art and food festivals to draw in the locals and tourists alike. Downtown Burlington has 17 historic districts, such as what used to be Howard Opera House, the South Light of the Burlington Breakwater, and the Old Ohavi Zedek Synagogue.
When you go out on dates this month, go a head and try a new coffee shop or two. Visit a few covered bridges or the Cabot Creamery. Between the cheese and the ice cream and the maple syrup, you’ll never want to leave your home town! So, if you are a Christian, single, and living in Burlington, you’ve come to the right place to find others like you.
